Volunteer at Heritage Park Zoo Prescott

Make an Impact in These Departments

Gift Shop Volunteers
Duties Admissions, Purchasing, Gift Shop, Special Events Concessions Management
Requirements Weekly commitment of at least 3 hours
  Living Collections Volunteers
Duties Diet Prep, Food, Kitchen Maintenance, Enclosure Cleaning, Produce and Meat Pickup, Behavioral Enrichment, Conservation Team (triage, animal pickup, delivery)
Requirements Special training required, willingness to “get dirty.” Keeper Duties require a weekly commitment of an 8-hour shift, negative TB test and must be age 21+. Other LC roles such as Diet Prep, Meat or Produce Pick-up can be less than 4 hours per week.

 

  Education Volunteers (Docents)
Duties Guided Tours, Outreaches, Educating the Public, Camp Instructors, Special Programs, Event Presentations, Animal Handling, Education Booths
Requirements Special training classes, flexible schedule following training, purchase training packet, negative TB test, must be 18 or older. Click here for more information on becoming a docent.
  Facilities Volunteers
Duties Custodial, Landscape/Maintenance, Construction Assistance, Electrical, Plumbing, General facility maintenance, Event Setup/Teardown
Requirements Experience in area or willingness to learn, wear appropriate clothing/shoes, flexible schedule
  Marketing and Events Volunteers
Duties  Special Events, Mailers, Media, Promotional Booths, Fundraising, Development, Donor Relations
Requirements Enthusiastic, experience or desire to learn more about sales, advertising, marketing, and/or fundraising with a flexible schedule
  Administration Volunteers
Duties Clerical, Office Duties, Membership, Adoptions, Supply Purchase, Errands, Grant Writing
Requirements Experience in the area or willingness to learn, weekly/monthly commitments
